The trailer includes the beginning of “Remembering” for solo violin. Here’s a mix of the music, containing the complete piece:
I designed the instrumental music, named “Remembering,” to evoke both the Jewish flavor of the piece and the sense of Elisheva trying to reconstruct her identity. As the score shows, the violin builds phrases from the notes ascending and descending a traditional scale, switching in the middle section (not heard in the video, but included in the complete piece) to use only those notes of the equal-tempered twelve tone scale that are not in that mode. In the score, I only indicated the pitches to be played in a particular order. The volume, durations, and expressive playing of the notes were entrusted to the performer.
